Tywyn - Dolgellau Loop

Start from the amazing Tyn y Cornel Hotel (after a great full Welsh Breakfast obviously) and follow the B4405 alongside the river towards Abergynolwyn and Dolgoch - a fantastic road mixing undulations, flowing corners and more technical sections. Arrive at Bryncrug and take a right turn onto the A493 towards Rhoslefain where the roads joins the coastline and opens into sweeping corners and jinked straights with plenty of forward sight. Upon reaching Dolgellau (where there is super unleaded fuel), you are left with a final run down through the valley on the A487 where the sound of the exhaust bounces off the rock faces either side of you and the views down into the valley take you breath away. Eventually ending up back at The Tyn Y Cornel hotel, the only choice you have to make is whether to stop for refreshment otr go and do it all again the other way round. An amazing one hour loop that has it all - except maybe for the tourist traffic found further up in Snowdonia. Highly recommended!
